Anker is a New Jersey–based solo rock artist whose live performances range from stripped-down guitar-and-voice acoustic shows to a modern-day one-man-band presentation. At some shows, it’s simply Anker, his guitar, and his voice. At others, live guitar and vocals are joined by electronic rhythms, background vocals, and simple looping to create the energy and fullness of a much larger act. At the center of both is Anker’s rhythm-lead guitar style, blending driving groove work with melodic lead lines and taking the performance well beyond the expectations of a typical solo acoustic act.
With a working repertoire of 475+ songs covering more than 75 years of rock and pop, Anker has the experience and flexibility to build a show around the room rather than force the room around the show. His performances span breweries, wineries, bars, festivals, shore-town venues, private parties, town celebrations, and listening-room settings. Whether performing completely unplugged or bringing the full one-man-band setup, the show is built around recognizable songs, strong crowd engagement, and the ability to move naturally from relaxed atmosphere to lively sing-along energy.
Anker’s performances blend classic rock, modern rock, pop favorites, and original music into sets that feel familiar, energetic, and personal. His originals — released across multiple albums and singles — have earned college radio airplay and sit naturally alongside the covers in his live show, often sounding like hidden deep cuts rather than interruptions in the set.
In the studio, Anker has worked with professional musicians and award-winning producers, including Dr. Louis deLise, whose credits include Patti LaBelle and Halestorm. On stage, he has appeared as an opener for nationally known acts including Darryl “DMC” McDaniels of Run-D.M.C., Vinny Martell of Vanilla Fudge, Richard Barone of The Bongos, and LUX.
